Hermit Crab Sarcophagus

If you asked me what this album was about, I'd say that it's about waking up every single day and switching out my shell with the last guy who wore this thing. Only problem is that he's not well and keeps bringing me harder and harder shells to live in. Each day, I need to wrest the new shell from him, and I can feel the shells tightening on me. My body is my tomb, but my body is my being. This tape is about the things that were buried in me and with me in this Hermit Crab Sarcophagus.

I recorded Commercial Break while on a pseudo-sabbatical at my job in October of 2024. I was waking up every day with the feeling that the world was going to collapse in on me, and most of these songs were written during those agonizing weeks. The rest were written while preparing for or after my cross-state move. Mews was written for Delilah's birthday! She's 6 now, thanks for asking. In total, I probably wrote about 45 songs for this tape, so my next one may be sooner rather than later. Hermit Crab Sarcophagus, released on June 2nd, 2025. All Lobsters with Perfect Matchings Are Graceful1, even you. If you buy the tape on Bandcamp (or ask me nicely via the form at the bottom of the page), I'll share the demos from the album, Just Say No!-- in total, about 30 more recordings with two bonus songs!
